Nurturing Touch Communication For Families - How to Teach It

Nurturing Touch / Massage techniques described and given during this workshop will enhance loving communication, honor choice and build respect.  This will educate participants on the importance of positive, respectful types of touch for healthy growth and development for all ages.JoAnn will give information regarding education connection by touch communication from current research and trends in the field of massage and massage therapy. She will provide easy, simple techniques that can be employed immediately in the workplace and shared with others.

At the end of this session participants will be able to:
  • Describe the benefits and teaching techniques of Nurturing Touch / Massage for communication between the infant/children and their parent/caregiver and others.
  • Define and utilize effective relaxation skills that will encourage the establishment of healthy teaching rapport with the parent/caregiver.
