Updated Employee Handbook - A Managers Best Friend

This session will share the importance of keeping Employee Handbooks updated yearly. Updated Employee Handbooks avoid inconsistent or outdated communication of employee policies or practices. This session will share the process used recently at Head Start of Lane County to revise and update their employee (both for bargaining unit and managers) handbook.

At the end of this session participants will:
  • Be aware of the legal and practical purpose for keeping employee handbooks up to date.
  • Be aware of a model to use for developing the process to receive input from important stakeholders and training all employees how to use and acess the handbook.
