This session will provide families and professionals with activities and strategies that support components of Executive Function (EF) that relate to Social and Emotional development for children, birth to three, with diverse abilities. We will provide information on how components can be identified and strategies for teaching young children in across? environments. Participants will learn how to integrate key components of EF into everyday routines and activities.
At the end of this session:
- Participants will examine, practice and select strategies to strengthen EF skills (self-regulation, working memory, inhibit/emotional control, shifting, planning and organizing) that impact child’s social and emotional development.
- Participants will have an understanding of EF and how it impacts a child’s social and emotional developmental trajectory based on research.
