This training-of-trainers will prepare staff with accurate oral health knowledge and adult teaching strategies for teaching the First Tooth curriculum. First Tooth teaches staff to work effectively with children and parents on recommended tooth brushing and oral care, including strategies for prevention and intervention of early childhood caries.
At the end of this session, participants will:
- use adult learning strategies to accurately facilitate a segment of First Tooth as a demonstration of your preparedness to train staff in the First Tooth curriculum.
- use an understanding of the prevention and treatment of early childhood caries, along with adult learning facilitation and teaching strategies, to train staff to meet the outcomes of the First Tooth curriculum.
