This workshop will offer practical ways to apply new supervision skills by using positive language in interactions with staff to increase cooperation and collaboration. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice and apply new communication skills, learn how to set clear expectations and give effective directions, and know what to do when met with resistance.  

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  • learn and apply new strength-based ways to interact with staff that promotes cooperation in complying to rules and policies.
  • use positive language to set clear, concise expectations.
